In late 2019, a VHS Collector going by the pseudonym “Chernyat” purchased a VHS tape from a Newtown Thrift Store believing it to contain the movie “The Little Rascals”. Only to discover that the tape contained something more phenomenal. A 35-minute amateur documentary exploring the going’s on of the Chatswood Youth Centre and surrounding areas in July to August of 1997.
Played prominently throughout the tape is a pop-punk song with a notable bassline and high paced energy. However, with no credits on the documentary, Chernyat attempted to identify the song using apps like Shazam, Sound Hound and Google. All attempts being unsuccessful.
